Melissa McCarthy has fired back at online trolls and haters who have been criticizing the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot.
The Paul Feig-directed film has faced backlash from fans of the classic 1984 film ever since it was announced that the reboot would feature an all-female cast.

The film's trailer, which dropped on March 3, also went on to become one of YouTube's most disliked trailer of all time.
McCarthy now has a message for all the film's critics who have been hating on the film left, right and center.
"All those comments - 'You're ruining my childhood!' I mean, really," McCarthy said in an interview with The Guardian. "Four women doing any movie on earth will destroy your childhood?"
"I have a visual of those people not having a Ben [her husband], not having friends, so they're just sitting there and spewing hate into this fake world of the Internet. I just hope they find a friend," she added.
Earlier this month, McCarthy addressed specific questions about the film's confusing trailer during a radio interview.
"It's a reboot. I know, it's weird that they said the '30 years ago' because in this movie, the first one didn't happen," she said when asked if the upcoming film takes place in the same universe. "It's that great story, but told totally differently."
"Believe me, the question was asked. I was like, 'I think that's very confusing,' but then everyone said, 'We don't care what you think,'" McCarthy added.
In the past, Feig has also addressed the backlash over his decision to revamp the franchise."I don't want to go near the original ones because they're so good, and I know people get mad at me. A lot of people on the Internet are frustrated it's a reboot, but I honestly think it might be the better way to do it. So look, hate me if you will, I don't know what to tell you," Feig said at the time.
The Ghostbusters reboot, which also stars Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth, is slated to hit theaters on July 15. Check out the latest trailer below:
