"There's a sexism that happens towards men," Harrington said. "At some points during photo shoots when I'm asked to strip down, I felt that."
"If I felt I was being employed just for my looks, I'd stop acting," Harrington explained. "I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks. It's demeaning."
Harrington added that the industry has a different set of rules for men and women. Just like females, he said males also face sexism.
Self-Worth Against Sexism
Harrington's opinion that men are worth more than their looks and bodies is the very same argument that women have against sexism.
Harrington gained fame for his character Jon Snow in the hit HBO TV series "Game of Thrones." The 29-year-old star has also appeared in "Pompeii" and "Testament of Youth."
