Keira Knightley has starred in many blockbuster movies such as "Pirates of the Caribbean," but not everyone seems to be her fan. In an interview on Sunday, "Begin Again" director John Carney revealed that he became disenchanted after working with Knightley on the 2013 musical film.

'Begin Again' Director Slams Keira Knightley
Despite two Oscar nominations under her name, Knightley's acting skills were criticized by Carney during a candid interview over the weekend, according to the Hollywood Reported.
While he admitted that Keira is not a singer or a musician, he said making music does not appear natural on-screen for Knightley. The British actress appeared alongside Mark Ruffalo and Adam Levine in "Begin Again."
Carney said that he wanted to work with actors who could play and sing properly. He said he was relieved to return to Ireland to make "Sing Street," which is being shown in theaters right now. Carney said that the glitz and glamor of Hollywood does not appeal to him.
While he admitted that he enjoyed making "Begin Again," he said Keira's entourage made work a bit hard.
In the end, Carney said he would not make a film with supermodels again. Meanwhile, he went on to praise Ruffalo as a fantastic actor and Levin as a joy to work with.
Fans Defend Keira Knightley Online
Meanwhile, Knightley has received support on social media after Carney's comments went viral. Director Mark Romanek, who is responsible for the 2010 British dystopia film, "Never Let Me go," took to Twitter to defend the actress. He revealed that his work experience with the actress was nothing but spectacular.
Romanek also addressed Carney's comments about Knightley's entourage. He said that Knightley's entourage was composed of her mom visiting the set one day for just an hour or two. Meanwhile, director Lorene Scafaria from the 2012 comedy-drama "Seeking a Friend for the end of the World" also defended the 30-year-old actress. She said that Knightley was a joy to work with.
