‘Blindspot’ Season 2 news, update: Find out Jane Doe’s identity [VIDEO]

Fans will unlock the suspense in the freshman run's finale of NBC's Blindspot when it returns from its summer break for the second season. Martin Gero, who is the series creator, disclosed that fans would find out the real identity of Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander). This is after the dramatic turn of events that dismissed her of being Taylor Shaw.

Speaking via TVLine Gero said, "That is not going to be a mystery next season. You are going to find out exactly who she is in the first episode of next season, so it is not as if we needed that for additional mystery."

Besides that, the new storyline will also reveal secretes by other characters. Doe and Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are expected to have a clue on the backstory of Orion, putting all the characters on the same page. This is after Reed (Rob Brown), Zapata (Audrey Esparza), and Patterson (Ashley Johnson) reveal the contents of their mysterious junk drives.

Furthermore, the series creator also revealed that Shepherd will be very important in Season 2. Fans will discover who Shepherd is and what Orion is in the Season 2 episode 1.

In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gero said that some clues will be left behind for the fans for a summer-long scavenger hunt. The episode titles for the first half of Season 1 forms anagrams for a poem while the second half provides instructions. The good news for fans at this time when the series is on break, an interactive adventure shall be obtained from phone numbers found by decoding the hints.

NBC's quest to keep their fans exited about puzzles has pushed them to consider working with David Kwong, 'New York Times' crossword puzzle expert, and Warner Bros to build amazing and fun puzzles with exiting prices all summer.

In response to speculations that the information given points to the second installment, Gero said "They're going to be fairly standalone. There's a little story that goes along with it that's pretty cool too,"
