Manchester United standouts Juan Mata and Daley Blind are reportedly set to be sold this summer as new head coach Jose Mourinho overhauls the English Premier League club.

SkySports reported that Mata and Blind "will be high-profile victims of Jose Mourinho's arrival at Manchester United this summer" as the 53-year-old Portuguese manager is said to be "already planning his assault on the summer transfer market, and has identified a number of key targets".

However, unfortunately for the 28-year-old Spanish winger and 26-year-old Dutch defensive midfielder, they are allegedly not included in the future plans of the former Chelsea champion head coach as he tries to form a team this summer, "which he believes, can win the Premier League".

It should be noted that it was also Mourinho who approved Mata's sale from the Blues to the Red Devils in the winter of 2014 for a transfer fee of £33.5 million even though the Spain international just won Chelsea's Player of the Season honors in July of 2013.

Rumors abound that Mourinho dislikes Mata's fit in his system, which means that he would most likely be out of the Old Trafford next season.

On the other hand, Blind said to have not qualified to Mourinho's standards on his central defenders, which includes players who are "tall, fast, strong central defenders, such as Kurt Zouma and Raphael Varane at Chelsea and Real Madrid respectively".

Blind is also reportedly unhappy about Louis van Gaal's sacking as he allegedly prefers to work with him better than any other coach.

"I always worked well with him and would have been keen that the co-operation lasted longer," the defender said in a recent interview while training with the Netherlands national team.

Caught Offside indicated that although Blind is versatile and a quality playmaker, "it doesn't appear as though it will be enough to save his Old Trafford career" in the eyes of The Special One moving forward.
