An estimated 60 percent of the regions' users are comprised of young people and this trend seems to be growing each year.

Although Asia has typically been noted as the population with the most widespread use of the internet, the majority of its users are youths that find themselves online virtually around the clock.

Whether it is studying for exams, preparing a class project or connecting with friends online, the internet is a ubiquitous part of the lives of many young people in that region.

Internet users in the Asia-Pacific region over the age of thirty-five have steadily declining percentages of internet users as the age of the person increases.

Across the world, people under the age of 35 account for half of all internet users in the world which is still 10 percent lower when compared with the data for the Asia-Pacific region for the same age category of users.

In Europe, 44 percent of people under the age of 35 account for the total amount of all internet users throughout the continent.

According to the research, three out of 10 internet users in the Asia-Pacific region were aged 15-24, while the remaining 31.6 percent of users were between the ages of 25-34.

The methodology used in the study measured how many respondents used the internet at least once per month from any device including computers, tablets and smartphones.
