Subsequent to the report that Yu Chiu filed to the police last August 29, Roy Chow had to attend a court hearing to resolve the problem. The actor, known to be having personality instability, was accompanied by his aunt for the event. The actor did not address the media on his way to court.
Yu Chiu, on the other hand, did not appear during the hearing due to the presence of media personnel.
During the hearing, Roy Chow was warned that domestic violence is a serious offense and was told that he should take care of his wife over resolving family matters by resorting to violence. He was then sentenced to a 18-month probation, but was also warned that should he repeat the same offense, he will not be receiving such lenient punishment.
The actor has conceded to the terms and just stated that he understood what the judge was telling him. He also promised to end his involvement with model Ruby Lau.
According to reports, the model is now standing as Roy Chow's manager and that she has demanded for event organizers to increase his appearance fees as he has been exposed to the public a lot as of late.
