Hong Kong actress Rosamund Kwan, one of the most prominent 1990s actresses is said to be living with a brain tumor since 1994.
Kwan had announced her retirement from the film industry in 2007, vaguely explaining that she wanted to invest in more businesses. She did not really give any concrete reason why she wanted to retire, saying that she wanted to keep it a private matter.

Speculation was rife that the actress retired from the showbiz industry due to some health issues.
In 1994, the actress was diagnosed with a tumor in her pituitary gland. Although it was benign and wasn't considered life-threatening, it alarmed the actress enough to brace for the worst, prompting her to write a will at the young age of 32.
According to previous reports, the actress has been suffering from chronic migraines, but she opted not to undergo surgery to have the tumor removed. Instead, she resorted to medication that would control her illness.
The actress was said to have been spotted consulting with the doctor of her friend, who is also suffering from the same kind of disease.
Kwan's condition has been kept from the public, until recently. When the news broke, the actress immediately stepped forward to assure her supporters that she is in a stable condition and is happy and healthy without any problems.
The actress insisted that she didn't want to recognize the fact that she has a tumor and doesn't want to refer to her illness as it is. She said she was aware that the tumor had been growing in her head when she was in her twenties.
She said her tumor didn't develop into cancer, and she is more concerned about maintaining her skin now that she is 51 years old.
