She said that they find this an important question to address because of the common use of bras in different countries.

Chen explained they found no connection on wearing bra and the increasing risk for breast cancer.

She also said that it doesn't matter what kind of bra a woman wears, how many hours a day a woman wears her bra  and when a women starts wearing a bra,.

It still doesn't increase the risk of getting a breast cancer on post-menopausal women, she stressed.

Researchers surveyed women ages 55 to 74 that has two of the most common breast cancer such as Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) and Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC), to come up with this finding.

They asked their subjects about their demographics, family history, reproductive history and bra-wearing patterns using an epidemiological study design.

They found out that no aspect of wearing a bra increased the risk of breast cancer on their subjects.

The researchers believe that their findings provide assurance to women that wearing a bra does not increase the risk of the post-menopausal breast cancer.

This research came from the journal of the American Association for Cancer Research called Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention.
