"You've been amazing for years at keeping Harry Potter secrets so you didn't spoil the books for readers who came after you," J.K. Rowling reminded the Harry Potter fans in the video on YouTube.
"So I'm asking you one more time to keep the secrets and let audiences enjoy Cursed Child with all the surprises that we've got to the story," The Casual Vacancy author continued.
Later, J.K. Rowling shared another tweet for Harry Potter fans. "Potter fans have always had each other's backs. Today I'm asking you to #KeepTheSecrets of #CursedChild. This isn't about ticket sales: we've been sold out for ages," she wrote.
Security Officials will ensure that no one sneaks any recording device into the theater during the screening of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Daily Mail reported.
Meanwhile, even before Harry Potter and the Cursed Child started filming, it already made the news. J.K. Rowling's casting of Noma Dumezweni to take the role Emma Watson as Hermione Granger made headlines.
Many questioned the screenwriter's decision to choose the Swaziland-born British actress due to her race. However, Rowling defended decision saying, her description of the character never contained any racial definitions.
"Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione," J.K. Rowling tweeted in December.
Jamie Parker will play Harry Potter while Paul Thomley will play Ron Weasley. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child preview performance is set for June 7 while the opening will be on July 30.
