"The production is over and the film is expected to be released sometime later this year. But before this, we had Xuan Zhang which released in China earlier," Jinsong Liu, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese embassy in India said.
Sonu Suod also confirmed the end of the movie's filming.
Fans waiting for the movie will get a first look of its trailer on June 10 during a scheduled press conference in Shanghai.
The Bollywood star said that he really enjoyed the time spent with the movie legend and he also learned a lot from him.
Working Kung Fu Yoga also helped him maintain his persona as a fitness buff, Suod added.
Suod continued to narrate that he and Chan would be doing activities, like martial arts, stretching, and other activities the whole day to keep them fit and healthy.
Kung Fu Yoga is a historical adventure film, which tells the story of Xuang Zhang, Chinese Buddhist monk, scholar, traveller, and translator who described the interaction between China and India in the early Tang dynasty.
The movie has a budget of $22 million and is expected to hit 6,500 theatres in China and India.
