"19 Kids and Counting" alum Jill Duggar recently shared a very sad news in relation to her husband Derick Dillard's mom Cathy Dillard Byrum.

Earlier this month, Duggar revealed that her mother-in-law was actually adopted and she wants to be able to reunite with her real mom.

On the reality TV star's Twitter account, Duggar asked help from all of her followers to connect her with anyone who could link Byrum to her real mother.

"Please help us find @cldilla birth mom. Anyone know Joyce Perry (DOB 12/9/1925)? Previously in TX, OK & PA. Israel would love 2 meet ggma!" she wrote.

Back when "19 Kids and Counting" was still airing new episodes on TLC, Duggar and her husband said that Byrum's adoption story is what encouraged them to consider adoption as well.

After posting the tweet, thousands of fans helped Duggar find her mother-in-law's birth mother. Unfortunately, they were welcomed with devastating news. As it turned out, Byrum's mom has passed away in 1992.

"Thanks everyone for helping us search for @cldilla birth mother. We have been blessed by all the helpful suggestions & found what we wanted!" Duggar tweeted over the weekend.

According to Fashion N Style, a search on "Find a Grave" website confirmed that Byrum's mom has already passed away.
