Senator-elect Manny Pacquiao is still the richest congressman in the Philippine House of Representatives. The outgoing Sarangani Province representative ran for senator and won under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) in the 2016 Philippine National Elections.
Based on his declared 2015 statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN), Pacquiao is worth 3.26 billion. The figure is double his declared SALN of 1.6 billion from the previous year.

The boxer turned politician won a unanimous decision over American Timothy Bradley and had since announced his retirement from the sport. He will start his stint as senator this June.
Pacman, who is no stranger to controversy, is being chased by the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for possible tax evasion. He reportedly made $150 million from his mega fight with retired superstar Floyd Mayweather. The fight was less than spectacular, with Pacquiao reportedly nursing an injured shoulder.
Pacquiao is one of two congressmen who breached the P1 billion mark and has been leading the chamber with regards his net worth for the past three years. His declared net worth of P3.26 billion (with personal properties worth P1.7 billion and real assets worth P1.65 billion) is a far cry from second Representative Jules Ledesma, who declared a total worth of P1 billion. His declared liabilities are around 97 million.
Pacquiao declared a total of P822 million net worth in 2014 and is reputed to have multiple properties in the Philippines as well as the United States.
Although recently retired from the sport, many people doubt that they have seen the last of Pacman in the boxing ring. Manny Pacquiao is reportedly in talks to represent the Philippines in the coming Rio Olympics. There are also rumors of another mega-buck fight with Floyd Mayweather.
