Beyonce's Lemonade made noise when it arrived on HBO. But, it looks like the 34-year-old star's sixth studio album is about to create another bang as the singer is now being sued for copying another filmmaker's work.
The lawsuit was filed by Matthew Fulks, an independent filmmaker, and creative director at WDRB, in New York on Wednesday. Fulks that the trailer of Beyonce's Lemonade was copied in his short film, Palinoia.

"The number of aesthetic decisions included in Plaintiff's PALINOIA Work that are parroted in Defendants' LEMONADE Trailer demonstrates that the LEMONADE Trailer is substantially similar to the PALINOIA Work," the complaint obtained by the Hollywood Reporter reads.
"The misappropriated content includes both the particular elements that the Plaintiff chose to comprise the PALINOIA Work and the coordination and arrangement of those particular elements," the statement continued.
In fact, Fulks, who also conceptualizes, writes and direct TV advertisements for a news station in Louisville, revealed that Sony Music, Columbia Records and Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment were able to see his work, Palinoia.
He revealed that he got an offer to direct a video for Columbia's musical group, MS MR, and so he sent his Palinoia as a sample of his work for them to see.
Fulks claims to have also given the link to Byan Younce, who has created videos for Beyonce. Then, five months later, Lemonade was born.
Aside from the trailer, Fulks also claims that a scene that was shot in the dark alley of a parking lot with graffiti-designed walls complete with "overgrown" grass" and "red person with eyes obscured" was also alike to a particular sequence in Palinoia.
#LEMONADE premieres on 4.23 9ET | 6PT HBO
