Millions of people around the world have stared into the sea with thoughts of living underwater.
That dream's now a reality, according to US Submarine Structures, an underwater habitat innovation company.
US Submarine Structures is taking the underwater living concept further by offering commercially available 5-star luxury homes that are completely submerged and have panoramic ocean views -- a vista only seen in movies or video games.

The underwater home, called H2OME, will consist of two floors with a total of 3,600-square-feet.
The bottom floor includes the master bedroom and kitchen and luxurious areas like a wine cellar, library, lounge and even a bar. An additional two bedrooms, two baths and an open lounge area can be found on the top floor.
A Dubai-based firm specializing in the design and layout of 5-star hotels will reportedly furnish H2OME, but buyers have the option to fully customize their aquatic paradise to their liking.
Consumers will also be able to choose the location for their H2OME.
US Submarine Structures, however, specifies the location needs to be at a shallow depth of 33 feet to 59 feet for them to successfully build the H2OME. At this depth, air pressure remains the same as the surface so no tricky decompression process is needed.
H2OME will be accessible by a private pier via a submersible spiral staircase or an elevator. It will also be equipped with lights and fish feeders on the outside in an effort to attract any wildlife into the area.
H2OME may sound too good to be true, and that's because it comes with a US$10 million price tag.
We can't, however, rule out the possibility of the underwater home market exploding in the future, causing prices to drop significantly. Us average people can still dream, right?
Other underwater-type habitats already are on the market. For example, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort has underwater dining rooms that accommodate 12 people. These rooms can also be transformed into a private bedroom suite on special occasions.
