The first of the three ODIs to between hosts Zimbabwe and India will be played at the Harare Sports Club in the Zimbabwean capital on Saturday. Zimbabwe will be hosting the visitors for three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20s) from June 11 to June 22.

India is likely to dominate over Zimbabwe despite a relatively inexperienced squad. The Indian cricket board picked up many new faces including Kedar Jadhav, Jaydev Unadkat, Yuzvendra Chahal, Faiz Fazal and Karun Nair for the Zimbabwean tour while resting the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and R Ashwin.

Indian currently ranks fourth in the International Cricket Council (IC C)'s ODI rankings, while Zimbabwe holds the distant eleventh position.

Indian coach Sanjay Bangar believes the Zimbabwe tour will offer a good opportunity for young players in the squad to explore their potential.

"This is a very important tour for the young players. It provides them an ideal opportunity to test themselves in international waters," he said. "It is the start of a new season and it gives them an opportunity to make a mark and keep knocking at the doors of the Indian team."
