Newly-promoted club Hebei China Fortune FC (7-2-2, 23 points) will look to extend their three-game winning streak against struggling powerhouse squad Shandong Luneng Taishan FC (2-6-3, 9 points) at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium on June 12, Sunday as the 2016 Chinese Super League season moves forward.

Last season's China League One runners-up had been more than competitive this year in the China top flight mainly because of the addition of big-name foreign players who just came from world class clubs, namely Gervinho (Roma), Gael Kakuta (Sevilla), Stephane M'Bia (Trabzonspor), Ersan Gulum (Besiktas), and Ezequiel Lavezzi (Paris Saint-Germain).

Added to it are the consistent performances of their top local players, such as striker Dong Xuesheng and winger Luo Senwen, and the result is a competitive team capable of beating the recurrent contenders.

The Samba Kings pulled off their third consecutive win in the last round by routing Chongqing Lifan, 3-1, at the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center, as per Soccerway.

Hebei is currently high in the overall standings, at the second spot and only five points behind league leaders and defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande, as they have so far accumulated seven wins in the first 11 rounds of competitions.

Meanwhile, the perennial contenders Shandong Luneng squad is reeling as they are on a six-game winless slide. The team only mustered two wins so far, which prompted former head coach Mano Menezes to resign from his post on Tuesday.

Menezes was replaced by former Bayern Munich champion coach Felix Magath and the team is hoping that he can take them out of their current rut.

While Taishan Dui is successful in the ongoing AFC Champions League, advancing in the quarterfinals after defeating Sydney FC in the round-of-16, they had been miserable in the domestic side, placing 14th in the current league table.

Their last match was a 0-2 loss to Beijing Guoan at their own home field in Jinan, via Sofa Score.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 victory for Hebei China Fortune.
