Just days before the 13th anniversary of 9/11, additional items were displayed at the ground zero museum on Sunday, including that of a shirt worn by a Navy SEAL during the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Another item, which is deemed important by authorities, is a special coin given to a CIA officer who is said to have played an important role in the killing of the most wanted terrorist.

Leaders say that these are powerful additions to the collection at the museum and that the artifacts displayed help tell the story of the event and the impact of the 9/11 attacks.

According to the National Sept. 11 Memorial Museum President Joe Daniels, the death of Osama bin Laden is a huge part of American history.

He added that the museum is a way of helping millions of people to recognize the extraordinary bravery exhibited by both men and women sacrificing for the country not only in the United States but also in other parts of the world.

The shirt and the coin will be displayed alongside a brick which was taken from the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed.

The shirt is said to be from a now-retired member of SEAL Team Six. This team brought to an end the long hunt for the world's most wanted terrorist.

The uniform is tan with camouflage sleeves and has the American flag patched on the right shoulder.

Museum Director Alice Greenwald pointed out that the garment of the Navy SEAL connects people in a powerful and immediate way to the successful operation of ending Osama bin Laden's life.

As for the coin, it is a red, white and blue coin made to mark the end of the manhunt. The coin has the date May 1, 2011, engraved on one side. The other side has a red "X" on it. The coin is said to have belonged to a CIA officer called "Maya".

The museum did not disclose the identities of either one of the donors.
