Google Glass Explorer Edition is now available on the Google Play Store in the U.S.
Google announced "Project Glass" two years ago and began offering the wearable device to early "explorers" in early 2013 by invitation.
Last May, Google released Glass to groups of explorers in the U.S. Glass only became available in the United Kingdom a month later.

Now, anyone can finally get a pair of Glasses directly from the Play Store. Google's selling the wearable to the public for US$1,500.
Upon purchase, customers get a free frame or shade. All new Glass models come with free frames for prescription glasses or a free sunglass shade attachment.
Customers can choose complementary frame style options (curved, split, bold and thin) for their Glass.
Google is also giving buyers an option to select from five available colors: tangerine, charcoal, cotton, shale and sky blue.
In addition, customers can also buy shades, ear buds and other accessories from the Play Store. The shades and frames cost US$150 and US$225, respectively. The Glass ear buds in stereo configuration is worth US$85 and US$50 for the mono unit.
Google, however, made it clear this Glass release, or the Explorer Edition, isn't the commercial launch. This means Google is still taking its beta hardware test further.
