Meanwhile, Ukraine face Northern Ireland and Germany take on Poland in Thursday's two other matches of the tournament at the Stade de Lyon and Stade de France respectively.

England were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Russia in their Euro 2016 opener at Marseille on Saturday night. Russian striker Vasili Berezutski grabbed a stoppage-time goal to help his side salvage a point against the three lions.

England coach Roy Hodgson responded to Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev and Wales footballer Gareth Bale' criticism on England football team.  

"The other day it was Igor Akinfeev [Russia's goalkeeper] saying we were the worst seeded team in the group, and now it's Gareth Bale. They can have those opinions. I don't have any doubts personally about our patriotism and our desire and that's the most important thing. If he [Bale] believes that's the case, he's welcome to that opinion," Hodgson said.

Wales, on the other hand, started their campaign in Euro 2016 on a winning note, beating Slovakia 2-1 at Bordeaux on Saturday. Wales manager Chris Coleman described the win against Slovakia as the proudest moment of his life. "I think it is my proudest moment. Our supporters keep on topping what they have done - that support today was unbelievable," he said.
