A fully working prototype of the gadget was presented at last week's IFA 2014 tech show in Berlin. Reports said the flying speakers will hit the market by November. The gadget comes with a tag of US$150.

Positioned above a magnetic stand, the speaker floats on air, held in place by magnetic waves. The stand has an extra USB port.

The floating speaker can be spun in any direction. And once you're bored with the spinning speaker, you can use the speaker for the purpose for which it was made: broadcasting music.

The levitating speaker comes in four colors: blue, purple, black, and pink. The speaker has an output of three watts.

The concept behind the levitating speaker is that it could make sound much better without any low-end loss and much less amplifier power.

ASWY's levitating speaker came out just five months after OM Audio's levitating speaker. Reports said the sound quality of this speaker wasn't that good but it's not that bad either.

Product reviews suggest the sound quality is better for ASWY's speaker and that the latter looks more polished.

The levitating speaker made by OM audio will be out by December for at US$179 each. The speaker comes in black and white. Pre-orders are being accepted.
