Christina Grimmie's brother, Marcus, couldn't hold back his emotions as hundreds of mourners turned up at a candlelight vigil held in her honor at Evesham, New Jersey on Monday.

In his heartrending speech, Marcus described Christina as an "awesome" person who "loved" her hometown and New Jersey as much as "she loved singing."

In addition to Marcus, the city's mayor, Robert Brown, close friends and pastors also paid tribute to the late singer at the half-hour vigil held at the Marlton Memorial Sports Complex.

People also showed up wearing "Team Grimmie" shirts made especially for the event, which was attended by so many people that there weren't enough candles for everyone.

The vigil was held not only in memory of Grimme but also to pay tribute to the victims of the tragic shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, which claimed the lives of around 50 people, and injured 53 others.

Marcus lamented the attack as a "huge tragedy to Orlando, to the U.S. to the LGBT community and to the whole world."

Marcus also took the opportunity to thank Maroon 5 crooner Adam Levine, who was Christina's coach and mentor on the third season of The Voice. Levine also offered to shoulder the cost of Christina's funeral, as previously reported.

Christina's brother went on to extended his gratitude to band Twenty One Pilots and singer Selena Gomez, who also remembered the late singer during her concert.

Marcus also noted that while the love and support for Christina was so overwhelming, the survivors of those died from the massacre do not have the same kind of support the people are extending to Christina's family.

Christina's closest friends, Pete Innaurato, Lauren Longo and Sarah Luebkemann also shared fond memories with the former YouTuber, saying that she put "family, friends, and the Lord" ahead of everything else.

The hundreds of mourners then bowed their heads in silence while a bagpiper solemnly performed "Amazing Grace." The lights were turned off and only the candles glowed amidst the solemn tribute.
