Facebook's Blue Dinosaur
Facebook is attempting to help users set their privacy settings by unveiling a new feature that lets a blue dinosaur guide users in the "privacy checkup" process.
With an unnamed blue dinosaur pulling levers on the "privacy checkup" prompt, Facebook will allow users to change settings for their posts offer choices on changing their preferences. If the user's posts, for example, are currently being shared with strangers, the checkup will let the user share with a smaller group of confirmed Facebook friends.

The opposite can also be done if the user wishes to reach out to more people, although it may be counterintuitive considering the site is aiming for improved user privacy.
The apps the user previously approved to access his information is displayed. The user can either edit the display options or just simply delete them if they are no longer being used.
The checkup also lets the user see personal information such as the person's address, phone number, education history, email address and so forth, and lets the user edit the display settings to his liking.
"We know you come to Facebook to connect with friends, not with us," Facebook product manager Paddy Underwood said. "But we also know how important it is to be in control of what you share and who you share with."
The user can also access the feature by logging in and clicking the lock icon with three small horizontal bars on the upper right corner on any page on Facebook and then choose the "Privacy Checkup" option.
