"Resident Evil" developer Capcom held its Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event on Monday, June 13. During the conference, the game developer announced the latest title in the "Resident Evil" franchise titled "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard."
While the game has the same name as the previous titles, it is a bit different. Original titles in the franchise focused on the survival-horror story before shifting to the third-person shooter theme in the latter parts. However, "Resident Evil 7" takes a completely new direction as it is a first-person shooter theme.

This is the second time the franchise has undergone a redesign, and as expected, some fans were a bit concerned about the change. Luckily, Capcom had something to soothe any concerned parties. The game developer has released a playable demo: the "Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour."
A close look at the demo reveals that it is more horrific than the previous titles in the franchise. There is much to be said about maneuvering the few rooms of the farmhouse in the game, especially with regard to the lighting, the narrow POV, and other aspects that offer a unique experience.
If the demo points to what fans should expect from the full game when it is released in January, then they are in for a treat. While the demo is short, there is much hidden away in the few rooms.
