He stated that he and his friends were on their way to a karaoke bar one evening when they saw the baby girl's parents walking along the street with the bay.
After the argument that the baby is just a doll, he then snatched the baby girl from her father's arms, raised her above his head and tossed her to the floor.
The baby girl who is seven-month old was rushed to the hospital and findings suggest that she suffered a fractured skull but luckily out of danger now.
According to BBC, Guo Fajie, head of the public security bureau of Anyang city said in a state news agency Xinhua that the police officer drawn in the said baby attack was placed under criminal detention last Saturday night and was transported to a detention center in Anyang City last Sunday morning.
The 15-day imprisonment verdict Zengxi's received at first fueled a chorus of disapproval on social media.
In response to the said outburst of netizens and social media with regards to the 15-day imprisonment, Mr. Guo told BBC that an investigative team was then assigned to reinvestigate the case and then followed by the police officer's detainment.
A month ago, an online outcry by netizens and the social media has been triggered by the death of a Chinese toddler who was thrown onto the ground by a man who was fighting with her mom over a parking slot.
Undeniably, netizens and social media in China have been playing a very important role in demanding authority personnel to take responsibility in these kinds of events.
The Chinese Government and authorities shouldn't take these happenings lightly. They must work on hard in finding out the root cause and how to stop these kinds of mishaps.
