The missing Indiana woman, who reportedly disappeared last July 9, was found in the mobile home of two of the victim's acquaintances. She was rescued by one of the suspects' friends on Saturday. The charging documents filed on Monday in the Posey Circuit Court showed that the victim was locked up in a wooden cage, tied up to a bed inside the home, and suffered through repeated sexual assaults and physical attacks.

Authorities identified the suspects as Ricky R. House, Jr., 37, and Kendra Tooley, 44. The couple was living together in a mobile home. Investigators disclosed that the couple kept the victim in a cage until Tooley's ex-husband, Ronald Higgs, 61, visited their trailer last week. Upon discovering that the couple was holding a girl against her will, Higgs endeavored to rescue the victim. In a statement, Higgs told authorities that he learned of the 30-year-old woman's plight when Tooley told him that they "got a girl back here [the trailer] in a cage".

Higgs returned to the couple's mobile home on Saturday and told the two that he was taking the victim away from them. An affidavit from a responding officer indicated that both men got into a heated altercation with House pointing a sawed off shotgun to Higgs' chin and threatened to kill him. Despite the threat, however, Higgs stood his ground and successfully managed to rescue the victim. Upon reaching Higgs' home, the authorities were immediately contacted.

Court documents show that the victim knew House and Tooley. On the night of her abduction, House offered the 30-year-old woman a ride home while she was walking along an Evansville street. She accepted the offer and was brought to the couple's trailed located in Stewartsville, Indiana. Court records show that when she attempted to leave, House "placed chloroform over her mouth and nose causing her to lose consciousness". The victim eventually awoke to discover her "clothing cut off and she was bound to a bed within the trailer".

House and Tooley were then arrested on Sunday. On Monday, prosecutors formally charged House with four counts of rape, one count of conspiracy to commit rape, five counts of criminal confinement, two counts of kidnapping, one count of battery resulting in bodily injury, and one count of pointing a firearm. On the other hand, Tooley was charged with two counts of rape, one count of conspiracy to commit rape, four counts of criminal confinement, two counts of kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit criminal confinement.
