Hong Kong actor Raymond Wong, who was cast for the main lead in the drama adaptation of 'Cheung Po Tsai', has been diagnosed with Behcet's Disease and will be replaced by Tony Hung.
Raymond Wong is said to be giving up on his role as Cheung Po Tsai in the upcoming TVB epic drama that goes with the same title after he was diagnosed with Behcet's Disease, a condition wherein a patient suffers from visceral ulcers that could affect almost every organ in the body.

Just the previous week, Raymond Wong met up with the cast and crew members of 'Cheung Po Tsai' for the costume fitting. During the press conference, the actor has confessed that he doubts his capability to film the drama due to his health.
According to the actor, he has been suffering from inflamed tonsils and mouth ulcers. He has also been losing sleep due to the pain his condition caused. He has also revealed that he has been having chronic fevers since August and stated that he was not apt for the action-packed scenes and rigorous workouts that the production requires.
Though he has expressed his hope to work better on his health in order to keep up with the demanding filming strategies, he has finally withdrawn from the role in order to address the auto-immune disease which has been plaguing him.
It is said that there is no existing cure for the disease, but can be easily controlled through medication.
On previous reports, it was said that the production team have had a difficult time choosing the lead for the drama. They have initially cast Bosco Wong for the role, however, the actor has declined due to his busy schedule.
On the other hand, it was reported that 'Rear Mirror' star Tony Hung will be taking Raymond Wong's place as Cheung Po Tsai. The actor had to sacrifice his free time for the drama as it was a last-minute decision on the part of the production team.
Despite this, Tony Hung seems happy with his new project, saying that he hopes he would be able to execute his role well as it was a challenging character to portray.
