A teaser trailer for his upcoming biopic entitled "All Eyez on Me" was posted to Instagram on Thursday, which was the rappers 45th birthday, if he had not been killed in 1996 when he was only 26-years-old.

The "All Eyez on Me" trailer featured a scene involving the FBI and a raid that took place in real life.

27-year-old newcomer, Demetrius Shipp Jr. was cast to play the legendary rapper and actually has some serious real life ties with Shakur.

During an interview with XXL Magazine earlier this year, Shipp revealed that his father, Demetrius Shipp Sr. produced some of Shakur's music when he was starting off with Death Row records and while he does not remember ever being introduced to the rapper, he remembers that he hung around the studio as a child and was constantly around the likes of his father and Suge Knight.

"I actually did not tell my father that I auditioned for the role back in 2011 and I was told that I got the part just two days before my birthday so I had to wait five years, so while I was waiting I did a lot of research."

Shipp also made it clear that while he has a lot of similarities to Shakur, he understood that he had to get into character, during the interview he said, "I have to say that I'm a very passionate person, a person that's very driven by integrity and my beliefs and I believe there's definitely a similarity between me and him there," Shipp said. "Just getting into the character and doing my research, I fell in love with who he was. It was common things that were brought together with me and him, our childhood. It was a crazy thing to be able to do it. And the thing is, we have a lot in common. I'm a strong believer in the things that I want to do."

The biopic is due for release on November 11, 2016
