Germany will take on Northern Ireland in a Group C match at the ongoing UEFA European Championships 2016 at Parc de Princes in Paris on Tuesday.

Poland will face Ukraine in Tuesday's other Group C encounter that starts at same time in Stade Velodrome, Marseille.

Germany kicked off their campaign in Euro 2016 with a 2-0 win against Ukraine but were held to a scoreless draw against Poland in their second Group C encounter at Stade de France on Thursday.

"We created few chances. We didn't increase the tempo and then nine of 10 Poles were behind the ball," Germany's manager Joachim Low said after the Poland draw.

Germany now only needs to draw in the match against Ireland in order to qualify for the round of 16.

Northern Ireland, on the other hand, bounced back in the tournament with a 2-0 win over Ukraine on Thursday. It was Northern Ireland's first victory in a major football tournament in 34 years.

"It has been a long time. We talked about leaving a legacy from this tournament. A few years down the line when I am finished and I look back on it, it will be extra special." Northern Ireland's Gareth McAuley said after the team's victory over Ukraine. "It's just sinking in, and now it means staying in the tournament," .
