Radiohead fans were attacked by pipe-wielding Islamist Radicals over the weekend at an Istanbul record store as they were listening to the band's new album.
The event, held at the Velvet IndieGround Records on Friday night, was one of several streaming events held around the world to mark the physical release of Radiohead's new album "A Moon Shaped Pool." The Islamist extremists were apparently angry that alcohol was being served at the venue during the holy Islamic month of Ramadan.

A camera that was set up to live stream the event on Periscope captured the events on tape. The video footage shows the men yelling, attacking and assaulting the store's owners and fans and vandalizing the records store.
One of the men can be seen knocking down a beer can and throwing a bar stool outside yelling, "Are you not ashamed doing this in Ramadan?" The attackers also issued death threats and threatened to burn down the store with everyone inside.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack, except for one fan who started bleeding profusely after being hit on the head with a bottle.
Radiohead issued the following statement in the wake of the incident the band condemns as "violent intolerance."
"Our hearts go out to those attacked tonight at Velvet IndieGround in Istanbul," the statement reads. "We hope that someday we will be able to look back on such acts of violent intolerance as things of the ancient past. For now, we can only offer our fans in Istanbul our love and support."
On Saturday, large numbers of people took to the streets to protest against the attack, prompting Turkish police to use tear gas and water cannons to disperse the large crowd.
