Belgium will take on Sweden in a Group E match in the UEFA European Championships 2016 at Stade de Nice on Wednesday.

Italy will face Republic of Ireland in Wednesday's other Group E encounter that begins at same time in Stade Peirre Mauroy in Lille Metropole, France.

Belgium bounced back by beating Ireland 3-0 in their second group stage clash at Bordeaux on Friday. They lost Euro 2016 opening 2-0 against Italy.

Belgium boss Marc Wilmots hit back at critics after Ireland's win. "Well, after four years of success, when we get criticism its like those last four years disappear. It' just manipulating the people, giving the people the wrong ideas," he said.

Belgium needs to either win or draw against Ireland to qualify for the group of 16.

Sweden, on the other hand, must beat Belgium in their final group stage game at Stade de Nice to qualify for the round of 16. They lost their second group stage game against Italy on Friday.

"We defended well and we really succeeded in closing down Italy's game, but it was only towards the end of the game that we lost a bit of concentration," Sweden boss Erik Hamren said after the Italy loss.
