It has been more than a week after Christina Grimmie's fatal encounter with her fan. Still, many have been puzzled about how such a hideous crime could happen. 

Now, more scary details about her killer, Kevin James Loibl have been revealed by the police, unlocking the real motive behind Grimmie's gruesome demise.

The 27-year old Loibl travelled all the way from St. Petersburg to Grimmie's Plaza Live Theatre concert, just to kill her. Apparently, Loibl was obsessed with The Voice USA star and YouTube sensation. According to sources from Hype Online, he was also mentally unstable, but his condition and his obsession towards Grimmie was not obvious to the people close to him. 

Loibl was a Geek Squad employee at Best Buy, and his co-workers often teased him for being infatuated with Grimmie.  When Loibl would say that he wanted to marry Grimmie one day, people at work thought he was just making them laugh. 

His former co-workers said that Loibl did his best to save money and went through plastic surgery, with high hopes that one day Grimmie would fall in love with him.  He had hair transplants, laser eye surgery, and even decided to stop eating meat to lose weight. 

Loibl would also listen to Grimmie's songs all day long and claimed to play online games with her. Police revealed to sources from MTV that what Loibl claimed was not true and that there was no connection between him and Grimmie before the tragic incident took place. 

What might have triggered Loibl's murderous plot was that his Best Buy co-workers said that Christina would not be interested in him because she already had a successful and handsome boyfriend, a fact that enraged him.
