A brighter future lies ahead for both China and Germany, as the leader of these countries strengthen their ties. Merkel has been noted to be the most frequent Western diplomat visitor to China.

Indeed, the depth of the two nations' relations cannot be denied. The Chinese president expressed his gratitude to Merkel and the other diplomats of Germany, stating that they will not fail the confidence shown by Germany to the Chinese people.

Merkel attended a China-Germany economic and technology forum, as stated in EN People Online.  The said event focused on the elite business circles from both nations.  She also visited a sophisticated industrial park in Shengyang, in which big German and European companies have invested. The German chancellor was pleased with the economic improvement of China, expressing her hopes for a stronger economy that will not be detrimental to the environment.

Germany has been pushing their "Industrial 4.0" strategy, the nation's commitment to upgrading its government systems. The "Industrial 4.0" program also focuses its efforts in promoting German technology to the global market.

Meanwhile, China is promoting the "Made in China 2025" program. Germany is quite supportive of the "Made in China 2025" program, and both countries will have more consultations on the economy, politics, and society in general.

The most recent technological cooperation between China and Germany focused on the battery recycling technologies. To reduce environmental damage, China and Germany formed a strategic five-year partnership last June 2011.
