Tennessee authorities confirmed reports on Monday indicating that the remains found in Decatur County were that of 2011 missing nursing student Holly Bobo.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), forensic evidence revealed that the human skull found by two men nearby a rural road of Decatur on Sunday indeed belonged to the 20-year-old nursing student.

"It was my prayer, as well as the prayers of many others, that Holly Bobo would be found," TBI Director Mark Gwyn told the press over a media conference late on Monday declaring that investigations are still on going to find the truth behind Bobo's disappearance.
The skull was located near a property owned by suspect Zachary Rye Adams's family.
Adams was charged with Bobo's kidnapping and murder following her disappearance in 2011 and had pleaded not guilty.
Jason Autry, a longtime friend of Adams, was also charged with the same cases and had also pleaded not guilty.
The 20-year-old victim, a nursing student at the University of Tennessee in Martin, went missing on April 13, 2011 and was last seen by her brother at around 7:30 to 8 in the morning that day.
According to him, she was being led away by a man wearing a camouflage outfit from their Darden home at the time and into the woods.
After several failed attempts of locating her, with volunteers and investigators teaming up to scour the area where she was last seen, the case went cold.
The community did not lose hope as residents from Parsons and nearby areas in West Tennessee showed their support for her family by putting up pink ribbons all over the area, symbolizing hope for justice for her disappearance.
According to District Attorney Matt Stowe, his office is preparing a possible death penalty for Bobo's assailants citing that the county is going to make sure to deliver justice to those "who played part in the heinous crime."
A statement from Bobo's family will be revealed on Tuesday, he stated.
