J.K. Rowling Tweets Back At Fan Who Criticized Dumbledore Being Gay

J.K. Rowling, the brains behind the magical world of 'Harry Potter,' responds to a comment by a homophobic fan about the character Albus Dumbledore being gay.

Back in 2007, J.K. Rowling revealed that she had always thought of Albus Dumbledore, the iconic headmaster of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series, as gay. This was during an interview she had in New York at the Carnegie Hall.

Most fans of the Harry Potter series took this news without complaint and the author even stated that had she known the fans would be happy about it, she would have told them about her idea years ago.

However, not everyone seemed happy about the author's idea regarding the character. A former fan named Frank Fraticelli has taken to Twitter and tried to attack and criticize the best-selling author, saying that he had stopped being a Harry Potter fan when he learned that J.K. Rowling dubbed the character of Albus Dumbledore as gay.

On the post, Frank Fraticelli said, "Nice how u blindsided us with that one. Enjoy your billion $." This 'fan' later deleted his Twitter account.

In response to this, J.K. Rowling has also posted a tweet, telling Frank Fraticelli to follow Brian Souter in reference to Souter's campaign to ban educational institutions from teaching about the acceptance of homosexuality in the society. Brian Souter was said to have personally financed such a campaign.

"He's much more your kind of person," J.K. Rowling added to her post, slamming her former fan as well as Brian Souter.

On previous reports, J.K. Rowling revealed a new Harry Potter story, adding to the franchise which surprised her fans. The track that would accompany the story was sung by Celestina Warbeck.

The new story as well as the song is now available on Pottermore.com.

Meanwhile, J.K. Rowling was said to have donated £1 million to support the unity of England and Scotland, encouraging people through Twitter to maintain the union between the two countries.
