Struggling teams Guangzhou R&F FC (4-7-4, 16 points) and Shijiazhuang Ever Bright FC (3-6-5, 14 points) will both try to climb in the standings of the 2016 Chinese Super League season when they meet at the Yuexiushan Stadium on July 2, Saturday.

Guangzhou R&F is currently on a three-game winless skid as the team had also failed to register a victory in six of their last seven outings. With that, they are now settled at the 11th spot of the league table, four points above the bottom two relegation area.

The Blue Lions was crushed by streaking squad Liaoning Whowin FC, 1-3, at the Tiexi New District Sports Center in Shenyang last Sunday, Football Australia reported.

Liaoning opened the game with three straight goals, at the 33rd, 54th, and 75th minutes, courtesy of a brace by Zambian striker James Chamanga that sandwiched the middle goal of fellow import Assani Lukimya of Congo.

Head coach Dragan Stojković's squad netted a consolation goal right at the stroke of full time with a strike from defender Zeng Chao off an assist by midfielder Wang Xiaolong to finalize the count.

Meanwhile, Shijiazhuang Ever Bright was defeated in almost similar fashion by newly-promoted side Yanbian Funde FC, 1-3, at their own home field of Yutong International Sports Center also last Sunday, via Soccerway.

Yanbian scored the first two goals of the contest at the 31st and 39th via shots from Serbian defender Nikola Petkovic and local midfielder Cui Ren before Ever Bright managed to respond with a goal from Brazilian import Diego Mauricio with nine minutes left in regulation.

South Korean forward Kim Seung-dae added another in injury time to complete the visitors' three-goal haul while handing the home team their sixth loss in the season.

The loss was Shijiazhuang's seventh winless performance in their last eight games as they dropped to 13th place in the overall standings, only two points adrift the bottom two spots.

The predicted result is a 1-0 win for Guangzhou R&F.
