Tesla will be bringing its Model X 75D to China this coming July 2, according to local news outlets, making it the latest base model of the Chinese Model X lineup that includes 90D and P90D.

The upcoming Model X is anticipated to cost 850,000 yuan (around $128,000). It will feature a 75kWh battery and has a 237-mile range.

Tesla's Model X made its official debut in China last May and has received approval to be under Beijing's New Energy Licensing Program. This program allows car owners to get license plates much faster to encourage use of electric vehicles in order to curb air pollution. Aside from Model X, Tesla's Model S was also a part of this program last year.

The company has already started shipping Model X in China. In fact, there were 6 units of Model X SUVs delivered to clients in Beijing.

Aside from introducing a new model, Tesla is also expanding. Last Monday, it opened its 100th Supercharger station just in front of its Beijing headquarters.

Furthermore, although no official confirmation has been received from both parties, Tesla is reportedly localizing its production by putting up a $9 billion manufacturing facility in Shanghai. The move will save Tesla from paying 25 percent import tax per unit, as imposed by the Chinese government. This initiative aims to make its cars more competitive in the Chinese market.

Also, according to Forbes, Tesla China is negotiating with property owners along "major transit corridors" to build new supercharger stations. Currently, Tesla's partnership program is only collaborated with hotels and shopping malls, where destination-charger stations are placed on establishments' parking lots.
