"I've sent someone to kill you. They're outside in the garden. Look out of the window; can you see them?" said Princess Diana to Camilla Parker-Bowles in a phone conversation.

Acclaimed royal biographer, Penny Junor, clarified many issues about Diana and the Royal Family in his biography about Prince Harry, just in time for his 30th birthday.

For one, while many believed (including Diana herself) that the Royal Family was out on a campaign to discredit her following her separation and divorce from the Prince Wales, Junor revealed that Prince Charles had actually given "specific instructions" to do nothing that would make the Princess bad in the eyes of her children.

He made it clear that whatever the Princess did or said, the fact that she was his children's mother would mean that whatever hurts the Princess would also hurt his two sons.

Junor also wrote about Diana's many conspiracies, including her midnight phone calls to Camilla, threatening her with death.

Diana also sent frightening and sometimes ill-intentioned messages to many people, including her Private Secretary Patrick Jephson and Tiggy Legge-Bourke, the 28-year-old nanny hired by Prince Charles to take care of the boys.

When Diana dismissed many of her staff, Prince Charles would hire them back. She, however, drove him to distraction in one way or another. It was just difficult and distressing to have a conversation with her although the Prince really cared much about her because he knew she had to be looked after.

The Prince was always a phone call away when something went wrong, when one of her relationships ended, etc. Diana would call Charles, in tears, and he would do his best to solve the problem, Junor wrote.

But why did their marriage end?

Junor revealed that it was not about Camilla, the woman whom Diana called the "third person" in their marriage. The marriage failed simply because it should not have been consummated after all because theirs was simply a tragic mismatch.

This and more are the revelations of royal biographer Penny Junor in his book, Prince Harry: Brother, Soldier, Son, which details the inner torment of Prince Harry, the troubles with the marriage of Diana and Charles, and many more.
