VKworld Crown V8, the thinnest thermal touch smartphone in the world, is set to be unveiled and purchase in the middle of July. The device would have an astonishing thickness of only 4.7 mm and a price tag of $79.99 (5500 INR).

According to China Gadgets Review, the Crown V8 has a unique design but looks a bit like some Vertu smartphones. Its front and back panel are covered with glass, and its side frame is made of metal. Its shape is different from other smartphones; a bit like the old Moto Droid Razr smartphone.

Crown V8 comes with IP67 certification, making it waterproof and dustproof. It can stand in water at a depth of 1-meter for 30 minutes. The smartphone is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. VKworld claims that the Crown V8 is shatterproof, Phone Radar reported. An extra shatter shield layer on the surface of the glass is added to give it protection.

The Crown V8 has an IPS display that comes from LG with One Glass Solution (OGS) full lamination. It also has a front-facing speaker to deliver authentic surround sounds and deep bass.

The other specifications of the device have not been revealed. The Crown V8 will be the first device that has a thermal touch screen, and it will be interesting to see how VKworld will implement it.
