Reeling club Shandong Luneng Taishan FC finally snapped a 10-game winless slide in the 2016 Chinese Super League season as they stunned second-running squad Jiangsu Suning FC, 2-1, at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium last Saturday.
Shandong Luneng won in the China top flight competitions for the first time since their 3-1 home victory over newly-promoted side Yanbian Funde back in the middle of April. It was also the first win with Taishan Dui of newly-hired manager Felix Magath after leading the squad to five winless efforts in all competitions beforehand.

Jiangsu entered the match as the overwhelming favorites to win because of their opponent's current struggles and their noticeable much superior lineup headed by three top-notch Brazilians, namely former Chelsea midfielder Ramires, ex-Manchester City striker Jô, and former Shakhtar Donetsk winger Alex Teixeira.
However, it was Shandong who controlled the pace of the game from the start as the visitors were not able to stop Argentine attacking midfielder Walter Montillo from unleashing a brace during the match, as per Shanghai Daily.
The 32-year-old Buenos Aires native scored at the 57th and 74th minutes, with the second one assisted by another Brazilian, striker Diego Tardelli, to lead the underdogs past Jiangsu.
Head coach Choi Yong-soo's men, including his imports, played tentatively in the whole match and were unable to respond with any goals after more than 90 minutes of play.
The team's frustrations became evident when Ramires, sent off with a red card during injury time, charged towards the referee after his booking and had to be restrained by his teammates to regain his composure, Daily Mail Online reported.
The report noted that his "dismissal on Saturday night and subsequent loss of control - which saw him forced to be held back by team-mates - could now see him in hot water with the club's authorities", but there are no official reports yet of any sanctions from the club or the league.
