Shaanxi Xinda Wolves Crush Lhasa Jingtu in 19th Round of Chinese National Basketball League

After suffering its second lost of the season against Anhui Wenyi last Friday, the Shaanxi Xinda Wolves immediately bounced back and demonstrated their dominance in the league by demolishing the lowly Lhasa Jingtu with a lopsided 34-point margin 126-92 victory in the 19th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Sunday.

With the win, the Wolves remain in contention for the leadership in the league's team standings. Shaanxi shares the No.1 spot with Anhui with 17-2 win-loss record each.
According to Asia-Basket, American power-forward Tyler Wilkerson led Shaanxi with a remarkable double-double performance of game-highs 33 points and 12 rebounds along with two assists and two steals in just 29 minutes on the court. The former Marshall University player went 14 for 19 from the field including four three-pointers from beyond the arc.
James Mays also had a double-double game production of 16 points and 11 boards while local players Shengyue Sun and Jiguang Bi chipped in 10 points apiece for Shaanxi.
Shaanxi also won the battle for the rebounds, edging the opposing team with a 41-34 including a 32-21 advantage in the defensive boards.
Chinese forward ZhiMing Dan paced the thirteenth-ranked Lhasa with 30 points and seven rebounds. It was the club's 17th loss in 19 games played this season.
According to NowGoal, the winning team capped the first 24 minutes of the match with a 16-point lead 57-41 as both squads headed to their respective locker rooms. Shaanxi was able to further extend their lead to a comfortable 34-point advantage with a 37-19 outburst in the third quarter of the game.
In the final period of the match, Shaanxi never looked back and matched the point production of Lhasa in the fourth quarter with a 34-34 run to wrap up the game and register their win No. 17.
