The world's most downloaded game, Pokémon Go, is coming to Asia and Europe in the next few days. Unfortunately, players in Canada and South America will have to wait a bit longer.

Pokémon Go is fun. It's addictive. It actually makes you break into a sweat as you move around in the real world. It's the most popular mobile game in the world right now.

And best of all, this fantastic augmented reality smartphone game that's broken user records less than a week after its release on July 6 in the United States, Australia and New Zealand remains absolutely free.

If you're not yet playing the world's top game, get you over to this site to download Pokémon GO 0.29.0 APK by Niantic, Inc., the game developer.

If you're in the three countries listed above, you're blessed. Pokémon Go has been such an unprecedented hit its international release has been paused since the massive number of downloads caused servers to crash. No word yet on a date for the world release but it's coming soon.

The game's huge in the U.S.  It amassed over 7.5 million downloads from July 6 to 11 and was installed on over 5% of Android devices in the U.S. in this time frame. Pokémon Go topped the American App Store's "Top Grossing" and "Free" charts just 24 hours after its release.

The game that challenges you to catch Pokémon characters while you're on the move was developed by Niantic, a Google startup that created Pokémon Go with Nintendo.

But first, the basics. Just remember this is only for guys in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand right now. But it'll be the same routine when the game goes worldwide.

Log into the app and create your personal avatar. After doing this, your avatar will be displayed at your current location along with a map of your immediate surroundings. Be Pikachu (a lot of guys will) but it's best if you choose another Pokémon closer to your personality.

You'll discover a number of "PokéStops" and "Pokémon gyms" on the map, mostly located at parks, tourist attractions and places where a lot of people meet.

You've got to walk around in the real world to move your avatar so be careful where you're going. Always looks ahead to see what's ahead of you and to avoid accidents and bad guys waiting to rob you.

Different Pokémon normally live in different areas. Water-type Pokémon are found near water, for example.

Pokémons you run into can be viewed either in augmented reality mode or with a pre-rendered background. To capture these Pokémons, you throw a "Poké Ball" at them with the right force and at the right time. This isn't as easy as it sounds, so you'll make a lot of mistakes at first.

Needless to say but the most tiring part of the game is all that moving around to find Pokémons. It'll make you break into a sweat, which is good, but which gets a lot tiring after a few sessions. Here's a cheat to trick the app into thinking you're on the go when you're really sitting on your couch at home.

The cheat is based on GPS "spoofing," a trick that fools your smartphone into believing you're moving when you're not. Here's how to spoof the game:

* Go to Settings and activate the developer option

* Return to the root Settings Menu>Developer options

* Check "Allow Mock Locations"

* Download a GPS spoofing app

* Click the Location Settings button in the pop-up

* Go to Mode within the next Menu and choose "GPS Only"

Doing this will allow you to trick Pokèmon Go into thinking you're moving although you haven't moved from the spot you're on at all. Saves you a lot of sweating.

Next problem: where to find Pokéstops and Pokémon Gyms.

Right now, you've got to wander about a lot to discover where these vital sites are located since Niantic hasn't issued a map that will make this job a lot easier.

But not to worry. Some enterprising gamers have discovered that Ingress, an AR massively multiplayer online location-based game also by Niantic, has a map that allows you to see all alternate worlds. They claim that all the Pokéstops and gyms in Pokémon Go come from a selection of portals from Ingress and are in the exact same location.

Can't vouch for this, though, but if you've got Ingress, no harm in finding it out.

But if you really want Pickachu as your starter Pokémon, here's how to do it. Walk away from Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle that Professor Willow offers you after you sign in. Walk around four times and Pikachu will appear for you to catch.
