A Florida woman is grateful to be alive after a Clay county Deputy's two-year-old son accidentally fired his father's personal gun at a Wendy's restaurant in Middleburg.
On September 4, Irma Bonilla was preparing to pay for her meal when she suddenly heard a loud booming sound and felt a sting in her knee.

After investigations were made, a report released on Monday revealed that Bonilla was struck by bullet fragments from a .380-caliber gun owned by Clay County Sgt. Matthew Magish.
According to the police report, the off-duty Clay County deputy was standing in line with his 2-year-old son when the tot put his hand on his father's front pocket to look for a snack.
His hand found no snack and instead inadvertently triggered the semi-automatic Kel-Tec pistol hidden in his father's pocket, causing it to open fire.
Fragments of the bullet bounced off of the restaurant floor and hit the toddler's right foot, his grandfather and two women including Bonilla.
The boy's grandfather, Rodney Hutchings, suffered minor cuts to his right shin and left ankle, while the two women reported small wounds in their ankle, thigh, and arm, though reports indicated that no one needed medical treatment following the incident.
"Yes, I praise God every single minute," Bonilla told USA Today, saying she is lucky to be alive and pointing out bullet marks on her leg.
Investigations are still underway as the Department of Children and Families conduct their own probe into the incident.
DCF Spokesperson John Harrell cited that his department stresses the need to leave ammo out of a gun as a general safety precaution.
Harrell, however, clarified that their involvement in the probe does not imply an admission of guilt, and described the event as a 'freak accident.'
Magish, who had been with the agency since 2001, will remain on duty while investigations are being made.
