The Xiaomi Mi Max phablet has gone on open sale in India and is available on Amazon India, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata Cliq, and Paytm.

According to Zee News, the head of Xiaomi India Manu Kumar Jain confirmed on July 6 via Twitter that the Mi Max phablet would be available in India on July 15.

The Xiaomi's Redmi Note 3, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, and Mi5 became available last week on Paytm. Buyers did not have to register but just log into the site to be able to buy the devices.

The Mi Max was launched on June 30 in India in two storage variants; one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and another with 4 GB of RAM and 125 GB of internal storage, Gadgets 360 reported. It has a 6.44-inch full high-definition IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. It is powered by the hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.8 GHz. It features a 16-megapixel camera at the back with a dual-tone LED flash and a phase detection autofocus as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies with an 85-degree wide-angle view.

The Mi Max has an all-metal body and comes in gold, dark gray, and silver color. The 3 GB variant with Snapdragon 650 chipset is worth Rs. 14,999 ($223) while the 4 GB variant with Snapdragon 652 chipset is worth approximately Rs. 19,999 ($298).
