A man has been put behind bars for selling more than 200 fake Shanghai Disneyland tickets which add up to about 100,000 Yuan ($15,000).

According to the Shanghaiist, a certain Mr. Zheng from the Guangdong province established an online shop to sell fake Shanghai Disneyland tickets. He was busted after a woman complained of having purchased 10 tickets which proved to be fake.

Shanghai Disneyland is known to be the cheapest Disney theme park tickets in the world. The price ranges from 370 Yuan ($55) during the off-peak or regular season and can go as high as 499 Yuan ($74) during peak seasons such as holidays and school vacation.

Tickets for the famed theme park went on sale in March, three months before it was officially opened last June 16. Ticket hoarders reportedly took advantage of the sale, purchased as many as they can, and eventually re-sold them online for prices that went as much as five to ten times their original value.

According to CNN, some Shanghai Disneyland tickets sold online via Taobao proved to be fake. Chinese authorities think that Mr. Zheng may have adopted a similar idea.

This is not the first time that Shanghai Disneyland has come under the spotlight. In May, photos went viral online showing thousand of Chinese visitors trashing the area even before its opening.
