The Miss Hong Kong 2014 results had been plagued with criticism with netizens saying that contestant #11 Sofiee Ng should have taken the crown, but the beauty queen said that she didn't perform well, thus the results.
The Miss Hong Kong 2014 finals pageant has resulted to Veronica Shiu, Erin Wong and Katherine Ho taking the top three spot, but the public wasn't satisfied when Sofiee Ng did not even make it to the list.

The top three finalists then stepped forward to refute the rumors that the results were rigged and defended their titles, saying that all those who made it to the top 10 were good, but some just impressed the judges more.
Sofiee Ng seems to be supporting the three finalists despite not making it. She has admitted that her performance on the question and answer portion hasn't been that good. This was a result of her nervousness about performing in front of a live audience.
Contestant #11 also said that being the favorite of the dark horse in a pageant or contest is just a label that the media gives. She shared that she knew that Veronica Shiu, the reigning Miss Hong Kong this year, had a lot of experiences in pageants.
Sofiee Ng also commended Veronica Shiu for her performance during the pageant night. Veronica performed a dance and a figure skating routine which impressed the judges as well as her fellow contestants.
On the other hand, Sofiee Ng stated that she was happy about being chosen as the favorite among the contestants. She thanks the public for having confidence in her, however, she said that the public probably chose her because they haven't seen how poorly she did during the interview.
"I know I didn't do well and I admit defeat," the aspiring beauty queen stated, graciously accepting the results.
