Chinese keyboard app provider Kika Tech has announced that it has completed its latest fundraising campaign, increasing the company's value by RMB1.8 billion (roughly $33 million). The latest round of funding should enable Kika Tech to target lucrative international markets like India, Mexico, Brazil, and the United States. Many market analysts agree that with the amount of money Kika Tech has accumulated, expansion is the most logical step to follow.

The company's main product is the Kika Keyboard. Launched about two years ago, the Kika Keyboard has reached more than 150 million downloads on Google Play Store and more than 50 million monthly active users, making the app the most downloaded third-party keyboard in the Android market.

In a statement, Kika Tech co-founder and chief executive officer Bill Hu said, "We are now ready to extend our product line and strengthen our investment in the research and development in robots, voice engine, automobiles, and other smart devices' input interaction, so as to continue our efforts in building the largest next-generation keyboard globally."

Kika Tech was founded by executives of notable Internet companies like Microsoft, SkyMobi, Baidu, and Innovation Works. In February, the company completed its series of B round investment where it was able to raise $30.6 million. Kika Tech has offices in Beijing, Taiwan, India, and Brazil, according to China Tech News.
