Xiaomi Mi 4 and Mi 5 Smartphones Receive Price Cut in India

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced that its latest devices - Xiaomi Mi 4 and Xiaomi Mi 5 - will have their prices slashed by around Rs. 4,000 (approximately $59.55) in India. Interestingly, the Mi 4 smartphone has received a permanent price cut, while the Mi 5 has a temporary discount that would last for three days only.

This special promo is part of Xiaomi's 2nd-anniversary celebration in the country. The Mi 4 smartphone will be permanently available at Rs 10,999 ($163.74) and Rs 22,999 ($342.39) for the Mi 5 - the original price of the Mi 5 was Rs 24,999 ($372.16).
The company also announced that it would be giving a special offer to customers starting July 20 until 22 as part of the celebrations. Coupons of "mystery offers" will be disseminated throughout the period of the event and a one bumper prize during the final celebration day.
During Xiaomi's anniversary celebrations, customers can have a chance to win a Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone, 20,000mAh Mi power banks, Redmi Note 3, Mi Band, Mi Max, and Mi Bluetooth speaker. Lucky buyers can also take home a free Mi In-Ear Capsule Headphones, 10000mAh Mi Power Bank, and Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro Gold.
The Xiaomi Mi 4 features a 5-inch display screen and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. It comes equipped with a massive 3GB of RAM onboard and a 16GB inbuilt memory storage. It has a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The device is backed with a 3080 mAh capacity battery and runs on Android 4.4 operating system.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch displays screen. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3GB of RAM onboard. It comes with a built-in 32GB internal memory storage and runs on the latest Android 6.0 operating system. It has a 16-megapixel main camera and a 4-megapixel front-facing shooter. The device is packed with a 3000 mAh capacity battery inside.
