The production of "Special Female Force" ended early last year, but the release date had been pushed back after authorities banned its release due to its violent content, one of which includes a scene where Yeung and Jessica C.'s characters are killed in a very gory manner.

However, it has been recently announced that "Special Female Force" will be released in September this year, according to Jaynestars.

Sam expressed happiness that her debut film is finally set for release. "I'm really happy now that it's going to be released," the actress said.

She said that the cast members got close while filming, and added that it is no surprise that the film got censored.

However, Sam's "Special Female Force" co-star, Yeung, stated that she was a little "upset" that some parts of the film had been cut, including her parts.

"It's a pity," Yeung told the press. "I really didn't want any of it to be cut because I really worked hard in all of them."

Yeung said that the deleted scenes had a lot of wire work in it, including once where she is seen falling from a third-floor window. Despite that, she also expressed that she is happy to have worked with her co-stars.

"Special Female Force" tells that story of a team of female officers serving under Hong Kong's elite SWAT. Sam and Yeung are joined by Joyce Cheng, Mandy Ho, Jessica C., Jeana Ho, Anita Chui and Cathryn Lee.

The movie was produced by Wong Wing Fung. In China, an edited version of the movie would be released. But in Hong Kong, the uncut version would be released.
