More than two million couples in China have applied to the country's health bureau satellite offices to have a chance to get a second child.
China ended the one-child policy in October 2015, and many people in China have shown interest in having another child.

The number is expected to reach up to five million next year, according to China Population Association Chairman, Zhai Zhenwu.
Since 1980, when the one-child policy was put into place, it is estimated to have thwarted the addition of more than 400 million people to the population of China.
Some other couples, however, have shown little to no interest at all in having another child as most of them have said that they are "good with just one." About 47 percent of the married population of China seem to be okay with having just one kid.
Surprisingly, most people who are in favor of the two-child police are single. In a recent survey that was conducted by a popular dating site in China, 67 percent of single males and females were found to be considering having two children.
